Trivia: 6 Degrees of Battlestar Galactica

In honor of tonight’s Season 3 premiere of Battlestar Galactica, I present some trivia about my friend, Dave Hood.
Q. What connection does my friend Dave Hood have to Battlestar Galactica?
A. When I met Dave Hood, he lived in a house called the “Jay Street Mansion” (or some such), so-called because it was on Jay Street, in outer Beaverton, Ore.. Also located on Jay Street in Beaverton is the company headquarters for Arbor Homes, the area’s largest local home builder. Arbor’s co-founder Dennis Sackhoff lives in St. Helens and is the father of Katee Ann Sackhoff, a.k.a. Kara “Starbuck” Thrace in Battlestar Galactica. Sackhoff the younger grew up in St. Helens and graduated from Sunset High (in Beaverton) in 1998. Interesting.
