Life is Expensive

{ Life }

December 31, 2006

It’s a good thing our first mortgage payment isn’t until February, because life is expensive. We’ve had to install a 220-volt outlet/breaker for our dryer. Our movers cost $923. The piano was an extra $225. Our closing costs were a few thousand more than we expected.

Today our water heater called it quits. Foof. For the record, Geo. Morlan Plumbing (“The Water Heater King”), the company that has plyed my mind with its inane jingle my entire life, has the best price quote (David also called Lowe’s and Sears) that we could find.

Anyway, here’s to the rest of the house’s systems remaining functional.
