Ready for 2007!

{ Life }

December 31, 2006

I’m so ready for the new year. My goals for 2007 are focused on balance, calm, personal expression and the quest for knowledge. Usually I’m not too swallowed up by the whole New Year’s Resolution craze, but this year is an exception to that. I have goals aplenty.

In fact, I have so many ideas for 2007 that I’ve created an overarching theme for each month. These are:

January: Self-discipline
February: Knowledge
March: Calm
April: Art
May: Movement
June: Transcendence
July: Adventure
August: Love
September: Friends & Family
October: Civitas
November: Wealth
December: Creation

More on those as the months go along, but January’s self-discipline focus is on balance, finding a daily/weekly schedule that works (more proof that astrology is bullshit: I’m a libra–balance is supposed to be my forté, but I’m terrible at it), finding a way to track my goals, giving some thought to self-improvement, and getting back on a (yes, I’m sorry, this is so terribly typical) meaningful exercise schedule. Being in a new house both throws everything out of whack and gives me an opportunity to mold my daily life from scratch. So it’s mostly a good thing.
