Morbid RSS Feed: MyDeathSpace

{ Internets }

January 15, 2007

It’s no secret how much I hate, hate, hate Myspace (flames…on the side of my face…burning, heaving flames), but I find the site (well, RSS feed, technically, in my case) MyDeathSpace interesting, if a bit of a downer. MyDeathSpace collects information about myspace users who have died. It gives an account of what killed them and then links to their myspace page. The myspace pages are, of course, illiterate and idiotic, but the stories of what happened to the people behind them are interesting. A few recent posts:

* Elmer Symons (29) died in a crash at the Dakar Rally
* Meggie Le (17) was shot and killed by her step-father in an attack that also killer her mother and wounded her brother
* Trevor Marsh (17) was killed by angry gang members in a game of Russian roulette
