This photo or the one from my last post? I need to decide which to make a print from. C’mon, you gots to have an opinion! Tell me and I won’t shoot you in the face.
The churning clouds in this photo are amazing, but I like the road to infinity and vertical element of the telephone pole in the first one. However, there’s just too much ground and not enough sky. I would suggest cropping it a little below and just to the right of the pole – it balances out the photo but hopefully it doesn’t throw off you sizing for a print.
The first photo, with more of the road and horizon has a great feeling of place. I especially like the swirls in the clouds — like “Starry Night.” The second picture is just scary, not only for the looming clouds but for the composition. You feel as if you can’t catch your breath because it’s looming over you.
So I’d stick with the first one. And no, I wouldn’t crop it. You are one of the best for cropping in the camera, and your eye is trustworthy.

Love this one. I can feel the motion of the clouds. Like a Monet painting.
