    OK, I came too late to offer useful advice, but now that you’ve made your decision…

    I really like two other web sites for shoes, piperlime.com and zappos.com. I like zappos due to their vast selection and incredible service (2 day shipping, free return shipping, cute little update messages). I like piperlime.com because their collection is well edited and they keep doing cross promotions with Banana Republic.

    I can see you easing into the fashionable shoe world with flats. No need to go whole hog and get the 4 inch cone heel patent variety just yet. Maybe something like this:
