How was the Leonetti? Worth the cost? I’m interested in seeking it out if it is.

Hi Mark, I wouldn’t buy the specific one we had (the 2000 Merlot) as it’s at the very end of its drinking window. Plus I’m not the biggest merlot fan out there. But it was definitely an adult’s merlot: gentle, structured. Low tannins, good texture, some acid to help it from being too loose, a bit manly, woody and overripe plum. If you can get a hold of a non-merlot Leonetti, I would think that would be the way to go, but they’re hard to get so I’ve never had anything else by them.
