Subsumed in last week’s flurry of dumb health crap was a hidden gem: the weekend right before my surprise colonoscopy was marked by another victory in my steps toward being a comfortable flyer. A sudden opportunity presented itself on Friday–tickets to the Seattle Sounders/Chelsea FC game that Christie had–so I immediately bought an early-morning commuter jet flight from PDX to SEA. Here is the weekend, quickly, in photos. It was fun-relaxing.

4am Saturday

PDX has a Coffee People. Hells to the yes.

Jason would like my plane because it was all about the University of Oregon, logo-wise.

The game was a blast. 65,000 people. Good seats. Qwest field. Seattle.

There was a lot of sitting on the deck in sunshine.

It is very summery in Seattle.
